    Informed sources said that the US administration is preparing to impose customs duties on a wide range of products imported from China worth imports 60 billion annually. 

    " US President Donald Trump ordered his administration to prepare a decree imposing customs duties on a wide range of Chinese products aimed primarily at the technology and telecommunications sectors, " Reuters quoted sources as saying.




    Meanwhile, Politeco reported that Trump was over the past week to members of his government and advisers about his intention to impose customs duties on China and restrictions on investment from China in response to cases of intellectual property theft of US producers attributed to Beijing . 

    US Trade Representative Robert Laitheiser, who attended the meeting with Trump, presented to the US president a proposal on China's import tariffs of $ 30 billion, but Trump demanded an increase in the figure and instructed all documents to be prepared within a few weeks. 

    "Customs duties against China may include more than 100 products, from electronic products and communications equipment to furniture and toys, while details of the procedure are still under discussion," Politico said.

    The newspaper expected that "the announcement of the imposition of tariffs on Chinese products next week."
