The Justice and Accountability Commission handed over to the Electoral Commission a list of some 4,000 candidates who are not covered by its procedures. This was done after examining all candidates for the upcoming parliamentary elections, while 17 candidates were excluded from their procedures.
The spokesman for the National Accountability Commission, Fares al-Bakoua, said in a press statement that the accountability and justice excluded 17 candidates for the upcoming elections to be included in the procedures of the Commission, indicating that they are distributed on four electoral lists, and claimed another hundred and fifty candidates because of similar names.
He explained that "the checks and examination of the data of the names of candidates by the sub-committees close to completion, where the rates of completion to 75%," stressing "send two lists of names of candidates who checked their files to the Electoral Commission."
