The US State Department confirmed that there is no intention to withdraw US troops from the city of Manbj, while the US Department of Defense announced its support to the local civil council in Manbaj.
US State Department spokeswoman Heather Neuert said in a brief briefing that her country continues its talks with Turkey, stressing that no final agreement has been reached.
"With regard to the American presence in Manbaj, we do not intend to withdraw (from Manbaj). You must ask this question to the US Department of Defense after this stage," she added.
