MOSCOW - Moscow has called for an urgent meeting at the Security Council to discuss the aggressive actions of the United States and its allies against Syria, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"A group of Western countries cynically ignored sending the OPCW experts to Syria and took military action without waiting for the results of the investigation," Putin said in a statement on Saturday.
"The Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) has sent its experts to Syria to verify all the circumstances, but a group of Western countries cynically ignored them by taking military action without waiting for the results of the investigation," he said.
