Dollar prices were steady against major currencies on Friday, as US Treasuries rallied, amid signs of a Fed increase in interest rates.
The Fed chairman in Chicago said this week that the MPC could gradually increase interest rates while monitoring any rises in inflationary pressures.
By 7:10 am GMT, the dollar was steady against the euro at $ 1.2350, while rising against the yen by 0.1% to 107.52 yen.
While the greenback rose against the pound sterling, recording $ 1.4056, up 0.2%, while stabilizing against the Swiss franc at 0.9717 francs.
The main dollar index, which measures the performance of a currency against 6 major currencies, settled at $ 89.930.
The Federal Reserve Chairman in Minnesota said that measures currently being taken to stimulate economic growth could contribute to further monetary tightening this year.
Separately, US 10-year Treasury yields saw a one-month high in yesterday's trading, and two-year bond yields this week rose to their highest level since 2008.
During that period, 10-year Treasury yields rose to 2.915%.
