    In a bid to win votes and allies in the upcoming elections, the head of the victory coalition in the province of Sulaymaniyah, Ibrahim Rashid, announced the intention of the coalition leader and Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi to visit the province on Wednesday to be his first visit after the referendum on secession last September.

    Rashid said in a press statement that he is scheduled to visit the Prime Minister on Wednesday to Sulaymaniyah province to promote his campaign, and then visit the provinces of Arbil and Dahuk. 

    Rashid said in his statement that Abadi will discuss the financial situation of the province and salaries of employees in the Kurdistan region. 

    This is the first visit by Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi to the Kurdistan region of Iraq after the referendum on secession on 25 September last September.

    Since the reopening of international airports in the provinces of Arbil and Sulaymaniyah in Kurdistan, Iraq, the KRG is looking to reopen the border crossings with Iran and others to return the movement of trade exchange between the provinces of and around Kurdistan in order to alleviate the financial and economic crisis experienced by the region after The election of secession last September, where a member of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan Reka Watt, that a delegation from the Kurdistan government will visit Baghdad discussed the subject in detail.
