With the close of the parliamentary session .. 141 MPs did not attend the parliamentary sessions of parliament

With the end of the parliamentary session appeared to float on the surface and faces calculated on the parliament, but in fact did not attend not even one session in the House of Representatives, which made many Iraqis invoke the example that "their name harvested and their son broken."
At a time when the Iraqi citizen aspires to be the best representative of the House of Representatives, there is a clear disappointment, reinforced by the laws of the stage and deputies did not attend their meetings and did not perform their legislative duty as they should, as well as meals expensive to spend for those who attend them and not to attend.
The Madarak Foundation for Research and Studies conducted a statistic for the performance of the Iraqi Parliament at its current session, where it confirmed that the House of Representatives approved 151 bills out of 296 were on the agenda, while the parliament was closed on about 145 bills.
The head of the institution, Mezher al-Saadi, said in a press statement that 141 members of the Iraqi Council of Representatives did not attend the sessions of parliament, including 106 officially approved by the Presidency of the Parliament, noting that there are 15 deputies not seen by the Council two years ago, noting the existence of 145 laws on board Deputies without their approval.
He pointed to the existence of 296 law readable first and second reading and voted on, including 151 laws passed within the House of Representatives while about 145 laws are still in the parliament and will be returned to the government.
Al-Saadi added that it is strange ironies that the House of Representatives spend more on the cafeteria than the other parliamentary constituencies, stressing that the cafeteria feeds 360 deputies, whether they attended or did not attend.
On the comparison of this parliamentary session in the previous sessions, the head of the Madarak Foundation for Research and Studies said that "the first election cycle is better than the second and third because it was constitutive, so now that we are close to the end of the session, the maximum attendance of deputies in one session 296 deputies, The number of attendance is 186 deputies out of 360 deputies, while the number of interrogations in this session is only 7 interrogations. "
On the performance of the parliamentary committees, Mezher al-Saadi said that "the best committees are integrity and financial as well as legal, but the worst are the committees of sport, women, national reconciliation and regions." He pointed out that there are committees not completed to this moment, including parliamentary affairs and development committee.
For his part, the legal expert Amir al-Da'adi said in a statement to the «Journal News», that "the Parliament at its current session did not differ significantly from the parliament in previous sessions, it unfortunately did not meet the aspirations and aspirations of the Iraqi people, especially that it passed during the current session crises and tribulations and sit-ins was in A national propaganda called the fight against corruption and the elimination of quotas. "
"But over time, the falsity of this propaganda was revealed that it was only the struggle of parties and parliamentary blocs for the interests of the class and partisan forgetting the suffering of the simple citizen, the length of the life of the parliament did not come out by one law for the benefit of the citizen, but on the contrary was another heavy burden on the citizen, especially in budgets that increased the proportion Taxes on services and consumer goods while the citizen lived in shantytowns and slums, and increased rates of unemployment among young people and the employment opportunities for graduates, in contrast the role of parliament was close to the citizen's health to legislate the law to ban smoking in public places.
He pointed out that "the decisions taken by the parliament was in favor of its deputies are the fastest in legislation and recognition, but may be entered Guinness Book of Records," considering that "the parliament away from its oversight and legislative role to become a tool in the hands of the heads of blocs to settle party accounts between politicians without paying attention to the suffering of citizens Or to search for solutions to provide wasteful services. "
"The next parliament will not differ very much from its predecessors as long as we lost the spirit of opposition to the calendar and all the blocs participated in the government under the pretext of the government of national reconciliation or partnership, this context will continue to remain the same empty circle."
The fourth parliamentary elections are due to take place on May 12, amid concern over the outcome of the election.
