Identify the Speaker of the House of Representatives older
The Iraqi constitution and the rules of procedure of the House of Representatives, the winning candidate in the parliamentary elections is the oldest president of the first session of the new parliament.
The winner of the elections for the civil democratic coalition, Mohamed Ali Zinni (79 years), according to the Constitution as Speaker of the House of Representatives in the selection of the President of the Council and Vice-Presidents, being the largest winner of the age.
After the announcement of the final results of the elections, today, the winning candidate Zinni, will be constitutionally the President of the Parliament in the meeting of the selection of the President of the Council and his deputies, according to Article (54), which states that "the President calls the House of Representatives to convene by a presidential decree, within fifteen days from the date of ratification On the results of the general elections, and the meeting is held under the chairmanship of the oldest members to elect the President of the Council and his deputies, and may not extend for more than the above mentioned period.
Born in Najaf in 1939, Muhammad Ali Zinni won a parliamentary seat on the Democratic Civil Alliance. He holds a master's and doctorate from the University of Colorado in the United States of America in oil economics.
