27/5/2018 12:00 am [rtl]BEIJING - A US delegation led by Trade Minister Wilbur Ross will visit China from June 2 to 4 to continue consultations with the Chinese side on economic and trade issues. The arrangement was confirmed in a telephone conversation between Chinese Vice Premier Liu He and Ross. Liu is also a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Chinese side's delegation to China-US comprehensive economic dialogue. Data showed accelerated profit growth in Chinese state-owned enterprises in the first four months. Combined earnings exceeded one trillion yuan (about 158 billion US dollars) in the January-April period, up 18.4 percent over the previous year, and growth accelerated from a 16.7 percent rise in the first three months. State-owned enterprises' business revenues rose 9.7 percent to 17.5 trillion yuan in the first four months, while operating costs rose 9.2 percent to 16.8 trillion yuan. By the end of April, total assets of state-owned enterprises totaled 166.8 trillion yuan, up 9.9 percent from a year earlier. While liabilities rose 9.2 percent to 108.5 trillion yuan.
