[ltr]Zineb al-Khazraji called on Turkey to deal with Turkey in accordance with all international laws, lodge a complaint against it and cut off trade and economic relations in response to water cuts, stressing the expulsion of the Turkish ambassador to pressure it.[/ltr]
[ltr]"The Iraqi government so far has not taken any action against the water shortage that the country has been through for a long time, and now we have entered the drought phase after Turkey cut water on Iraq," Khazraji said in a statement received by Mawazine News.[/ltr]
[ltr]"We have not seen any real measures other than the statements, denunciations and requests for postponement of the Turkish side to fill the Alesso dam during the current period. This is not a solution and Turkey will fill the dam sooner or later."[/ltr]
[ltr]"It requires real measures to prevent a disaster for our country because of this crisis," Khazraji said. "The government should feel that the people are responsible for their rights and protect them not only by words, but by what measures they are taking."[/ltr]
[ltr]"Turkey will deal with Iraq in accordance with the principle of water for oil in the coming period," stressing the state of law that "Turkey will deal with it in accordance with all international laws and lodge a complaint against it and cut off trade and economic relations and expel the Turkish ambassador to pressure it in order to give Iraq's water share" .[/ltr]
[ltr]Khazraji called for "to move away from meetings and conferences that did not give us anything and we entered the stage of danger, our provinces are dying thirsty."[/ltr]
[ltr]The Minister of Water Resources Hassan al-Janabi earlier announced the start of the Turkish government filling the dam of Ilesu, which was established on the Tigris River, which was observed directly on the river on the Iraqi side down the levels of water.[/ltr]

(Baghdad: Euphrates News) accused the deputy, Turkey to "waging war" water on Iraq.
"The Iraqi government has not yet taken any action against the water shortage that the country has been through for a long time and now we have entered the drought phase after Turkey cut off water from Iraq," MP Zeinab al-Khazraji said in a statement received by the Euphrates News Agency. "He said.
"We have not seen any real measures other than statements, denunciations and requests for postponement of the Turkish side to fill the Aliso dam during the current period. This is not a solution and Turkey will fill the dam sooner or later."
Khazraji pointed out that "it requires real measures to prevent a disaster for our country because of the water scarcity we are going through and the government should feel that the people are responsible for their rights and protect it not only by words but by the measures taken by this crisis."

Iraq has endured a severe crisis in the water shortage, especially in the Tigris River with the start of Turkey filling the Aliso dam on the river, which threatens the scarcity of a hundred large and dry for about 7 million acres.
Water resources minister in Iraq, Hassan al-Janabi, said on Sunday that the amount of water storage in Iraq is 17 billion cubic meters and can secure 50 percent of the summer agricultural plan and drinking water.
Iraq depends on water security mainly on the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers and their tributaries, all of which originate from Turkey and Iran and converge near the southern city of Basra to form Shatt al-Arab, which flows into the Gulf.
Iraq has been suffering for years from a steady decline in water revenues across the Tigris and Euphrates, exacerbated the water shortage crisis as well as the low rainfall in the country over the past years, and Turkey began filling the giant Aliso dam on the Tigris River.
