Adel Al-Lami, the electoral expert, described the percentage of complaints in the recent parliamentary elections as "the largest of its kind over the past years."
Al-Lami said in a press statement: "The recent elections have received the largest proportion of complaints compared to the polls in Iraq after 2005 and all previous election cycles, as well as the level of local council elections."
He added: "The preliminary indications of a kind of change in the map of the final results on the basis of counting and manual counting, which began yesterday, and it is difficult to give a percentage about that change."
Al-Lami called on the blocs, observers and the media to stay away from giving rates for change, fearing to influence the decision of the judges who replaced the board of commissioners.
But he said: "Complaints, as large as they may be, do not mean that their assemblies are meaningful. There has been little or no evidence of reality."
