"The measures taken by the veterinary and medical teams formed by the ministry in cooperation with the Ministry of Health have managed to control the disease and prevent its spread to other areas," the spokesman of the Ministry of Agriculture Hamid Al-Naif told Al-Sabah. He pointed out that among the measures taken by the veterinary and medical teams is to work on field examinations of areas where the recorded injuries and dipping animals in ponds containing pesticides to eliminate the insects carrying the disease between animals and humans, such as tick. He pointed out that the Ministry of Health, hospitals and health centers affiliated with it, in addition to the veterinary units affiliated to the Ministry of Agriculture has not recorded any news of the existence of a new injury among citizens other than cases or injuries that were recorded initially in the Kurdistan region and the provinces of Diwaniyah and Basra.
