Today, Wednesday, the Ministry of Agriculture announced its control of hemorrhagic fever, while identifying the reasons for the high incidence of the disease.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Mithaq Abdul Hassan, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "there is an annual plan to combat the tick, which is the carrier of hemorrhagic fever, and it is not new in the framework of efforts to combat this disease."
He added, "The recent increase in the number of patients came due to climatic changes, as well as the lack of veterinarians due to the lack of appointment or gradation of veterinary medicine," noting that "hemorrhagic fever is under control."
He continued, "The Ministry of Agriculture teams represented by the Veterinary Department continue to work on holidays and throughout the week."
The Ministry of Health announced, earlier, an increase in cases and deaths of hemorrhagic fever, with 194 cases recorded, including 32 deaths, since the beginning of this year.
