The Independent High Electoral Commission confirmed on Saturday that it would continue to exercise its functions in accordance with the third amendment to the House of Representatives law, noting that it would follow the legal frameworks and official contexts in dealing with the decision of the Council of Ministers.
"The Board of Commissioners is discussing and taking a decision on the decision of the Council of Ministers to suspend the work of the current members of the Board of Commissioners and the directors of the provincial offices from work until the completion of the investigation of the crimes," said Riad Badran, head of the electoral administration in the Electoral Commission.
