The Secretary-General criticized the mobility of the "new generation" in the Kurdistan Region, Sashwar Abdel Wahid on Thursday the decisions issued by the outgoing Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Abadi, calling on him to retreat.
"Unfortunately, hasty and ill-advised decisions were made by the head of the caretaker government, Haider al-Abbadi. The worst and most dangerous of these decisions was the dismissal of the chairman of the popular crowd, Faleh Faisal al-Fayadh, for reasons and personal motives known to all," Abdul Wahid said in a statement to the news agency.
He added that "the exploitation of the government position to liquidate political rivalries within the race for office is a clear violation of legal and constitutional."
"It is regrettable that the Abbadi's discontent and his feelings lead to harming the body of the crowd and the dismissal of its president," Abdel Wahid said.
He added that "the conflict of the chairs has caused Abadi to redraw the foreign policy of Iraq according to his personal identity. He pleads with the US administration to gain support and support for his candidacy for the post of prime minister, while he unabashedly declared his support for the sanctions imposed on neighboring Iran.
"We hope that Abadi will back down on his ill-considered decisions, reconsider any step or direction he makes, and put the national interest above personal ambitions," he concluded.
