[rtl]French President Emmanuel Macaron announced that his country suspended political visits to Saudi Arabia in coordination with Germany, Britain and the Netherlands.[/rtl]
[rtl]According to the Bloomberg news agency, McCron said after a summit of European leaders in Brussels that he "is waiting for clarification about the disappearance of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi."[/rtl]
[rtl]Macron said French Finance Minister Bruno Le Mire's visit to Saudi Arabia to attend the economic forum next week would be canceled, saying that "the decision will not affect the visits of individuals or businessmen."[/rtl]
[rtl]The US, British, Dutch, French and German trade and finance ministers also announced that they would not participate in the Davos Desert Conference in Saudi Arabia because of Khashoggi's disappearance.[/rtl]
[rtl]International Monetary Fund (IMF) President Christine Lagarde also announced the suspension of her participation in the conference, coinciding with the boycott of banks and media companies and technology, including "Google".[/rtl]
[rtl]Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a speech at the Valday annual meeting that "the United States bears part of the responsibility for Khashoggi's disappearance because he lived in the United States."[/rtl]
[rtl]"We can not spoil relations with Saudi Arabia unless we have concrete facts," he said.Khashoggi's disappearance is absolutely regrettable, but we need to understand what happened. "[/rtl]
[rtl]Meanwhile, a number of Democratic leaders in the US Senate sent a joint memo to US President Donald Trump urging him to "provide detailed financial statements on his dealings with Saudi Arabia, including the transactions of his family and family members in Saudi Arabia."[/rtl]
[rtl]The memo also noted that "Tramp's public statements, as well as Saudi government spending in institutions owned by the Trump family, raise troubling questions about the reliability of commercial transactions." Trump calls for "the opportunity to investigate the involvement of Riyadh in Khashoggi's disappearance and terminate any operational relationship with Saudi institutions If this is proven. "[/rtl]
