Planning announces high inflation rate in Iraq

The Ministry of Planning announced on Monday that the monthly inflation rate increased slightly by 0.3% compared to the previous month, indicating that the annual inflation rate also witnessed a slight increase of 0.1% compared to the previous month. September of 2017.
The official spokesman of the Ministry of Planning Abdul-Zahra al-Hindawi said in a statement that "the index of the month of September 2018 in Iraq rose by (0.3%) compared with Ahram 2018," referring to "the rise of the Department of food and non-alcoholic beverages by (1%), Housing and Health by (0.2%), and Communication and Education by (0.1%).
"The inflation index fell by 1.0 percent from the previous month and fell by 0.7 percent annually from September 2017," he said, adding that "the annual inflation rate rose in September 2018 to (0.1%) compared to September 2017 , After the Department of Food and non-alcoholic beverages increased by (1%).
"The tobacco department maintained the same level of monthly change, and the clothing and footwear section recorded a decline of 0.1 percent," he said. "This is due to the decrease in the clothing group by 0.1 percent and the shoes group by 0.2 percent, "He said.
The Housing Department recorded an increase of (0.2%) as a result of the rise in the rental group's records by (0.8%), maintenance and housing services by (0.7%).
"The Department of Household Equipment and Maintenance maintained the same level of monthly change. The Health Department recorded a 0.2% increase. The Transport Department recorded a decrease of 0.3%. The Communications Section recorded a rise of 0.1% The Department of Education and Hotels recorded a decrease of 0.1% and the Education Department recorded a 0.1% increase.
As for annual inflation indicators, Hindawi said, "The food and non-alcoholic beverages sector increased by 1.5%, the tobacco division recorded a decrease of 0.9%, the clothing and footwear section decreased by 1.0% (0.4%) and footwear group (3.4%).
"The Housing Department recorded a decrease of 3.5% due to the decrease in the water and electricity supply group by 6.5%, the maintenance and housing services group by 4.6% and the rent group by 3.2% (0.8%). The Health Department recorded a rise of 2.0% and the Transport Section recorded a rise of 5.8%.
The Department of Education and Hotels recorded a rise of (6.9%), the Education Section increased by (0.7%), the Restaurants and Hotels Section decreased by (2.0%), the Department of miscellaneous goods and services A decrease of 1.2% ". Finished
