Iraq agrees with Sudan to exchange oil with agricultural areas

Sudan agreed with Iraq to provide it with oil in return for Khartoum to allocate vast agricultural areas to Iraqi investments.
During his meeting with Hussein al-Amiri, Iraq's ambassador to the Sudan, the Sudanese Minister of Oil, Gas and Minerals Azhari Abdul Qader Abdullah described the relations between the two countries as strong, stressing that Iraq was one of the first countries to stand by Sudan when it decided to benefit from its oil potential and provided technical assistance in this field. .
The Iraqi ambassador said that 'Iraq wants to enter into investment in Sudan, and provide assistance in the field of refineries', praising 'the great potential enjoyed by the Sudan from the wealth of oil, mineral and agricultural'.
