Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi warned on Tuesday of the Iraqi state's "slackness" and warned of "necessary measures".
"The public benefit will be dealt with as a corruption file," Abdul Mahdi said at the weekly conference. "We will not allow the spoilers to hide behind anything anymore."
"We are working on the inventory and survey of the names of employees contracts and wages daily in preparation for dealing with this segment."
Abdul-Mahdi said that "the state has become indecisive and can not be tolerated, and necessary measures must be taken."
He added that "the port of Faw represents a supreme Iraqi interest and will defend our interests and our sovereignty and our relations with neighboring countries."
"They are open to neighboring countries, provided we maintain the country's highest interests."
