Egypt sets a condition for the return of Syria to the Arab League[/size]

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri commented on Syria's return to the League of Arab States and its attendance at the economic summit in Beirut, stressing that this matter is subject to a decision by the University Council.
"I am not aware of the presence of Syria in the economic summit, which is subject to a decision by the university council and approved by the leaders," Shukri told a news conference with his Moroccan counterpart.
"There is a need to take action in accordance with Security Council resolution 2254 to prepare for the return of the Arab League."
The Egyptian foreign minister pointed out that Syria's return to the university is linked to the development of the political process to end the crisis.
