    government officials said that Morocco withdrew from participating in military action with the coalition led by Saudi Arabia, the Yemeni war. 

    According to the Associated Press , a Moroccan government official said today that Morocco is no longer involved in military interventions or ministerial meetings in the Saudi-led coalition. " 

    The Moroccan government official did not explain details of the participation of the Royal Moroccan Army or withdraw from Military Participation in Yemen .




    In an interview last month with Qatar-based al-Jazeera , Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita said Morocco's participation in Yemen had "changed". 

    Bureita also hinted that Rabat had serious reservations about Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's recent trip to other Arab countries amid international condemnation of the killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi at the Saudi embassy in Istanbul. 

    After an interview with the Qatari channel, Al Arabiya television broadcast a documentary on disputed Western Sahara , supporting claims that Morocco invaded it after the Spanish colonists left in 1975, while Morocco considers Western Sahara an integral part of its territory. 

    The agency added that Morocco recalled its ambassador to Saudi Arabia, For consultations after the report, according to another Moroccan government official. 

    Two other government officials confirmed the news of the summons to the Associated Press, but declined to reveal their identity because they were not authorized to speak to the media.
