(Reuters) - An overwhelming majority of member states could block a blacklist of money laundering, including Saudi Arabia, European Union sources told Reuters.

EU officials said more than 20 countries had already announced their opposition to including Riyadh, including Britain, France and all major powers.

Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz has sent letters to all 28 EU governments urging them to reconsider listing the kingdom, according to a letter seen by Reuters.

In order to reject the list, the move must be supported by a majority of 21 States.
