    A European country on Wednesday placed a number of Gulf states on a single black list.
    The Netherlands has placed the Gulf states on its own black list of havens, the International Advisor said.
    The Dutch government has published a black list of low-tax countries including 21 countries, including Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Qatar.
    The Dutch government considered the new list to be a measure against tax evasion.
    The list will be used to implement a conditional tax on interest and proceeds as of 1 January 2021, which means that companies registered in the countries on the Dutch List will pay a 20.5% tax on interest and proceeds received from the Netherlands. This will prevent the transfer of funds to tax havens across Holland.
    Although the European tax haven list is updated in the first quarter of 2019, the Netherlands list will be updated each year.
    If the European Union adds to its list of 16 places, the Netherlands will apply the same judicial measures, in compliance with the blacklist. Finished
