A ministry returns 45 billion dinars to the state treasury

The amount of the amounts returned by the Ministry of the Interior to the State Treasury and those recommended to be returned, which prevented the waste of 45 billion dinars in 2018 only, while the number of investigative cases of financial and administrative corruption, which was completed and ratified during the same year 591 cases, transferred five of them to the Integrity Commission and 192 A case to state courts through the defendants' chambers.
This came in the annual report for the year 2018 issued by Inspector General of the Ministry of Interior Jamal Taher al-Asadi on Wednesday, which included all the tasks and activities of inspection, auditing, monitoring, legal, evaluation, training and other functions authorized by the law to improve the performance of the ministry and correct the courses of action and fight corruption .
The Office of the Inspector General of the Ministry of Interior in a statement read by "Economy News", the total of what was achieved in 2018.
The statement said: "The total audit bodies carried out by our office to audit the work of the ministry's formations (35) audit body in accordance with a pre-audit program and (52) committees and audit orders not programmed resulted in the re-recommendation of the return of funds to the State Treasury and prevent other waste, (5,817,186,693 JD + 6320 $), while the total amount recommended for return (31,091,478,002 AED), and the total amount of prohibited waste (8,217,431,479 JD).
"The number of cases of investigation into administrative and financial corruption cases related to public money (bribery, embezzlement, forgery, etc.) amounted to (591) investigation cases that were completed and approved," the report said, adding that "five of them were referred to the Integrity Commission, Were referred to the courts through the circles of the accused (192) investigation case.
