Telecom intends to turn the Iraqi satellite project to investment companies
The senior agent for technical affairs in the ministry Amir Bayati said in a press statement: The ministry is seeking to introduce the Iraqi satellite project to international investment companies, adding that the matter will be followed with the International Telecommunication Union to maintain the orbits of the Iraqi satellite.
He added that a workshop was held with French company Airbus to train the technicians and specialists of the ministry to work on completing the remaining stages of the project, which was stopped in 2014 because of lack of financial allocations, stressing that the project will serve several aspects represented by the agricultural sector, industrial, environmental, military and all sectors serving the side. Security in the country.
Al-Bayati said that his ministry has taken several measures in the field of the moon industry, including the establishment of a nucleus of the Iraqi Space Agency, which will provide services to government institutions and different sectors.
