The State of Law coalition led by Nuri al-Maliki has accused all foreign ministers who took over the reins of the sovereign ministry since the toppling of former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein with the support of Baathists and allowing them to take over the most senior posts in the ministry and the headquarters of Iraqi embassies abroad.

According to Khalaf Abdul Samad, head of the parliamentary bloc of state law, all the ministers who took over the foreign ministry after 2003 and so far have not fulfilled their national duty to exclude anyone connected with the former dictatorial regime.

Abdul Samad threatened to summon him and questioned him before the House of Representatives on his policy loyal to the followers of "Saddam", asserting that the procedures of his interrogation had gone a long way, and that the signatures were collected to request the interrogation and complete the preparation and formulation of questions.

The State of Law bloc said it had official records documenting al-Hakim's interest in the foreign ministry staff appointed during Saddam Hussein's time and those who supported and promoted Baathist ideas, stressing that the next step would be to proceed to submit an interpellation request to the speaker of the House of Representatives.

But the head of the parliamentary bloc ignored talk about the details of the involvement of former ministers who were under the leader of a coalition of state law, Nuri al-Maliki, when he was prime minister, according to his accusations were also interested in supporters of the regime of Saddam Hussein.
