    The House of Representatives voted in its 23rd session, chaired by Speaker Mohamed Halboussi last Thursday, in the presence of 186 deputies, to amend the law of civil presses and the decision of deputies and ended the reading of 8 laws while he began reading the Federal Court Law and discussed the file burning of agricultural crops, while Halabousi urged the government to end the file of the agency by June 30.

    The Council voted on the appointment of Hamid Naim Khudair as Secretary General of the Council of Ministers and Mohammed Abdul Redha Abdul Majeed as Director of the Prime Minister's Office on the basis of a decision of the Council of Ministers and recommend to the Council of Representatives to ratify their appointment, and in the interest of the Council to proceed to end the file management of the joints of the State Acting and abide by Article 58 of the Act General budget for the year 2019.
    The Speaker of the House of Representatives also urged the government to end the file of the positions by proxy and commit to a maximum of 30/6 to resolve it. In the same regard, the Council completed the vote on the First Amendment Law of the Civil Printing Law No. (5) of 1999 submitted by the Committee of Culture, Information, Tourism and Antiquities due to the dissolution of the Ministry of Information and the Freedom House for printing after 9/4/2019. And to amend the amounts of fines and penalties imposed on violators of the provisions of the law in accordance with the current economic conditions and determine the competent authority to implement the law.
    The council postponed the vote on the wording of a resolution on the end of the work of the Board of Commissioners of the Information and Communication Commission of the Committee on Culture, Information, Tourism and Antiquities to a meeting (Saturday).
    On another matter, the Council proceeded to read a report and discuss the draft law of the Federal Supreme Court submitted by the Legal Committee. The Council completed the reading of a report and discussion of the draft law on the ratification of the Convention on the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of financial evasion in respect of income tax and capital between the Government of the Republic of Iraq and the Government of the United Arab Emirates. The Council completed the first reading of the draft law of accession of the Republic of Iraq to the " The Council completed the first reading of the draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the UNESCO Convention on the Protection of the Underwater Cultural Heritage. The Council completed the first reading of the draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the 1995 Grain Trade Agreement. The council completed the first reading of the draft law amnesty from tax sanctions in order to give the taxpayers a chance to resolve their position and settle their crimes and to resolve the tax crimes of the financial authority and the payment of tax amounts in the hands of the taxpayers.
    The meeting was then adjourned to Saturday (15/6/2019).
