(Baghdad: Al Furat News) The Office of the Inspector-General of the Ministry of Finance, on Thursday, the investigation into the extortion in the General Authority for Taxation.
The office said in a statement received by Al-Furat News, a copy of it, that "recently spread through social networking pages voice recording of a telephone call broadcast by a satellite channel includes the employee of the General Authority for Taxation blackmail and harassment of one of the lawyers during the review of the body.
He added that "after that the Inspector General to form a committee of inquiry on the subject to investigate this matter and take the necessary legal action against those who prove his involvement in the extortion."
The office stressed that it "works to reduce the negative phenomena which in turn lead to harm to the citizen and public money and the activation of the reform role in the institutions of the Ministry of Finance."
