    The head of the parliamentary committee to follow up the implementation of service projects in the province of Diyala MP Burhan al-Maamouri, on Monday, on the acquisition of land belonging to the state in crooked ways.

    Al-Maamouri called on the local government to "preserve the state's properties, especially the lands belonging to the Sunni and Shiite waqfs," stressing the importance of deporting the executives and carrying out a major campaign to lift abuses and hold accountable all those who violate the law as well as abide by the amended investment law.
