    Information / Baghdad...
On Monday, the Union of Muslim Scholars revealed the features of the new Sham project to steal Iraqi oil.

The head of the Union, Jabbar Al-Maamouri, said in an interview with “The Information” that “the transfer of crude oil from the Basra fields in southern Iraq to the Jordanian port of Aqaba is part of the new Sham project prepared by the Israeli Mossad intelligence to steal oil in coordination with Arab and other regional countries.”
Al-Maamouri added, "The project carries a very dangerous agenda that calls for a position by the Iraqi political forces to reveal its secrets in front of public opinion, stressing that the Union will call for popular demonstrations in all provinces to reject the project."
He pointed out that "the project, despite the black agenda that it carries, has no economic feasibility and represents a drain on national wealth."
The project to extend an oil tanker line from the Basra fields to the Jordanian port of Aqaba sparked a wave of popular discontent in Iraq.
