BAGHDAD: Euphrates News MP Khalid al-Obeidi said that corruption mafias are leading the country.
"The message of the resignation of the Minister of Health, Dr. Alaa Alwan, who is known for his professionalism and his keenness to promote the deteriorating health situation in Iraq, proves that the mafias of corruption, brokering and combinations are leading the country," he said in a statement. The administrators who are keen to serve the Iraqis are the lowest. "
"Personally, I will vote against the resignation of Dr. Alwan if his subject is raised in parliament, and I will seek to persuade deputies to work on the removal of all obstacles to the Minister of Health to prevent him from performing his duty and pledge to serve his people."
