About 800 Russian children may be present in terrorist camps in the Middle East, a spokeswoman for the Russian Federal Investigation Commission, Svetlana Petrenko, said.
Petrenko announced the issue at a meeting on the search for children under the age of majority, which was chaired by Alexander Bastrykin, head of Russia's commission of inquiry. The Committee pays particular attention to this area, as well as protecting children from criminal attacks in general.
"The participants discussed the crucial issue of the return of children in terrorist camps in various countries," Petrinco told Sputnik. According to available reports, there may be about 800 Russian children in such camps in the Middle East. Finished 25 N
