A Kurdish official from the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) said the Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki has agreed to pay the April salary of the clerks in the northern region of Kurdistan.
chief of PUK central coalition Adel Murad told al-Musalama daily that Maliki ordered paying the April salary “on my request.”Despite billions of dollars from oil incomes, the region has faced economic problems and the salary will help solving problems.
