Thousands of Iraqi lawyers demonstrated yesterday evening in a protest march through the streets of Baghdad, shouting slogans rejecting corruption, demanding the rule of law and trying to steal public money.
In a speech by the Iraqi Bar Association, the President of the Iraqi Bar Association called for the amendment of the 2005 constitution to ensure the unity of Iraq and its people, sovereignty and substitution of the principle of citizenship instead of religious, national, sectarian and party components.
