MP Sadiq al-Sulaiti, the transfer of Jamil al-Shammari, to the military court on charges of killing protesters.
Al-Sulaiti said in a statement that at a time when the people who rise up against injustice and corruption suffer all kinds of oppression and killing in the provinces of Iraq, especially Dhi Qar Al-Azizah, because of the security authorities' repression of peaceful demonstrators, in violation of all human rights charters and the Constitution and what happened in the city of Nasiriyah Fayhaa, which was embodied in the worst pictures of the tragedy and pain at the dawn of last Thursday, we did not stand idly by and we came out a press conference and promised God and the people that this massacre will not pass without accountability and punish the perpetrators, and called for a parliamentary session on the events of Dhi Qar to hold accountable negligent and criminals, which will be held Om on Sunday, to discuss the reasons for those motivated and criminal violations against the people of our province to demand the blood of our martyrs.
He added: We also went together (deputies of the coalition of Sairon / from Dhi Qar), and met with the commander of joint operations Lieutenant-General Abdul Amir Yarallah, and the Minister of Interior and it was agreed to refer the invited Jamil al-Shammari for a military investigation accused of the murders of peaceful demonstrators in Nasiriyah Faiha.
