    Haidar al-Abadi, the head of the Iraqi coalition, announced a national initiative to coincide with the increasing demonstrations calling for the dismissal of the government

    "The president of the victory coalition, Haider al-Abadi, launched his national initiative, the most important of which is to withdraw confidence from the current government immediately, based on Article 61 of the constitution," Abadi's office said in a statement.
