The Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), headed by Massoud Barzani, on Thursday feared the failure of President Barham Saleh to find a new prime minister to succeed the resigned [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] , warning that this would threaten to topple the presidencies of the Republic and parliament.
"There is a new turning point in the political process, which is that the President of the Republic has 15 days to choose the alternative," said Diyar Berwari, a member of the party.
Berwari added, "The failure of President Barham Saleh in this task, means that things will move towards the overthrow of the presidency and later to bring down the parliament."
