The party's website quoted Muhammad Amin Fares, a member of the party’s bloc, as saying that "dialogues and discussions continue to agree on a new candidate for the prime minister of Iraq, but they have not yet agreed on a specific candidate, and according to the constitution, the time is specified and a specific candidate must be agreed within fifteen days of resignation.
