revealed the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Sunday, the reason for the visit of President Barham Saleh to the city of Sulaymaniyah.
The leadership of the Union, Ala Talabani, said that "President Saleh's visit to Sulaimaniyah is normal and relates to the results of the recent elections for the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, which remained without a general secretary after the departure of its founder and historical leader Jalal Talabani."
Ala Talabani said, "The presence of President Saleh in Sulaimaniyah is natural, as it is an Iraqi city first and not a foreign country and secondly for purposes of following up and completing the party's election results, and it has nothing to do with any other issue."
President Saleh announced (Thursday, December 26, 2019) that he is ready to resign at the disposal of the House of Representatives, while at the same time apologizing for assigning "Al-Bena" candidate Asaad Al-Eidani to head the next government, while he subsequently left for Sulaimaniyah province.
