{Baghdad: Al Furat News} The President of the Republic and political leaders have resumed their discussions to choose a new prime minister candidate to task him with forming a government after discussions took place until late hours yesterday night.
A political source stated to {Euphrates News}, “There are 4 prominent candidates at the negotiating table and they are (Mustafa Al-Kazemi, Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi, Ali Shukri, and Muhammad Abdul Amir Allawi) and their chances are equal and there are possibilities for new candidates to enter during this day in the event of non-arrival The proposed candidates, especially since the candidate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi was the closest to assignment before a controversy occurred in the last moments, which prevented his assignment. "
The source did not rule out that "in the coming hours, a new prime minister will be appointed prior to the president's departure today to Switzerland to participate in the Davos Economic Conference."
He continued: "Despite the insistence on resolving this day, all possibilities are possible and the matter will be clarified after the end of President Saleh's meetings with some parties before this evening." is over
