Pompeo: The political parties that incite against the demonstrators in Iraq must be held accountable

{International: Al Furat News} The US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, on Thursday condemned the violence that took place in Najaf and other Iraqi cities, during which martyrs and wounded of the peaceful demonstrators fell.
[size=15][rtl][size=21]Pompeo called on the Iraqi authorities to take immediate measures to hold armed groups accountable in the city of Najaf and other cities in Iraq that practice violence against demonstrators.[/rtl]
[rtl]"The political parties that incite the use of violence against peaceful demonstrators and government officials who have failed to protect the demonstrators must be held accountable," the US secretary of state said in a statement.[/rtl]
[rtl]And witnessed Najaf, which is 75 km from Karbala, "a bloody night", which resulted in the killing of 8 protesters, on Wednesday evening, following an attack by gunmen in the sit-in square in Najaf.[/rtl]
[rtl]The shooting also wounded more than 150 protesters, and the building of the water directorate near Sadrin Square in the center of Najaf was burned, as well as the burning of a sit-in camp in the same square.[/rtl]
