, a deputy in the Alliance of Saireon said Sunday that owners of quotas and purchasing positions do not like the independent cabinet, on the contrary, they prefer the positions to remain.
Salam al-Shammari, a member of the House of Representatives, said in a statement that Mawazine News received a copy of, that "it is important for the parliamentarians to attend the extraordinary parliament session to vote on the cabinet."
Al-Shammari added, "The Prime Minister-designate Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi has completed his cabinet, pending the extraordinary parliamentary session to vote and proceed with the implementation of the government program and the legitimate requirements of the people for the coming period."
He continued, "The owners of quotas and purchasing positions do not like the independent ministerial cabinet, on the contrary, they prefer to keep the positions according to the system of previous governments, which the people revolted against."
Al-Shammari stressed that "the vote on the ministerial cabinet is a national statement of the people's representatives and the disclosure of the owners of quotas and those who started making statements and slogans against it in an attempt to fail the session and continue things on what it needs to serve narrow goals and party agendas."
