    The Ministry of Agriculture confirmed, on Tuesday, that the decision to prevent import saved 150 billion dinars for the state treasury.
    The Minister of Agriculture, Saleh Al-Hassani, said in a statement, "Economy News" received a copy of it. "
    He pointed out that "the ministry has started providing more than 150 billion dinars to the Iraqi state treasury after the decision to prevent the import of dates from all border outlets due to its availability locally as a result of providing loans and financial advances to owners of palm groves, vegetable crops, poultry fields and table eggs in all governorates and supporting them with the necessary supplies."
    He added that "the decision reflected positively on increasing and improving productivity significantly, both in quantity and quality, and increasing the role of the private sector by granting work permits to investors to establish molasses, poultry fields and table eggs, which contributed to providing job opportunities, operating manpower and absorbing unemployment."
    Al-Hassani stressed that "the ministry continues to make agriculture a resource no less than oil, which has witnessed a decrease in its prices by continuing its development plans and programs to increase productivity."
