The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan confirmed that the Kurds did not stand against the appointment of Muhammad Tawfiq Allawi as prime minister.
A member of the leadership council of the National Union, Saadi Ahmed Bireh, said in a press statement: "The Kurds did not stop against the assignment of Muhammad Allawi, and that he is not a victim of the objections of the Kurds to him as it is said, but he is the one who cut off the roads in front of the friendly parties to him, and he is the one who put himself against whom Merit of the Kurds in the Iraqi political process. "
