    {Baghdad: Al Furat News} The Border Ports Authority announced, on Saturday, that the ongoing commercial exchange with the two neighbors, Iran and Kuwait, will be closed until further notice, while it indicated a mechanism to introduce Iraqis returning to Iraq after subjecting them to preventive health measures.
    A statement by the authority stated that "the committee composed of the Cabinet of Ministers No. 64 of 2020 concerned with setting up a mechanism to close the border outlets and organizing the commercial exchange process to prevent the spread of the new Corona virus has taken a number of decisions in the past few days regarding commercial exchange, which stipulated the closure of border outlets to exchange Onshore trade between Iran and Kuwait from 8 March until 15 March of the same month.
    He added that "for developments in the current situation and decisions of Diwaniya Order 55 for 2020 and the reports of the Ministry of Health and Environment that showed an evaluation of the health situation in all of Iraq it was decided to extend the closure to another notice after this date while adhering to the effective decisions that confirmed the entry of Iraqi expatriates through all border crossings until 15 March However, after this date, all land border crossings will be closed to receive Iraqis from abroad. "
    He indicated that "alternatives to their entry will be through the airports of Baghdad, Basra, Najaf and Erbil, while maintaining the stopping of commercial traffic between Iraq and Kuwait, according to the directions issued by the last 64 committee."
    He explained that "these strict measures come to limit the spread of this virus, which the World Health Organization has classified as a global epidemic, and in light of these data, the border outlets authority has mobilized all its human and technical capabilities and with the support of the departments operating in the ports to address this epidemic, a belief in which we are confident that the health and safety of our dear people It is the goal we want.
