Gabriel Soma, the US President’s advisor in the Middle East, confirmed on Wednesday that the Iraqi Prime Minister-designate, Adnan Al-Zarfi, is an American citizen and we are not against his appointment.
"Al-Zarfi is an American citizen and we have not nominated him to take over the post of Iraqi prime minister," Sauma told Al-Maalouma, noting that "many of the personalities in the Middle East are American citizens and hold presidential and royal positions."
