The Finance Committee in the House of Representatives revealed, on Tuesday, that there are American pressures behind the decision to raise the exchange rate of the dollar against the dinar, stressing that the poor classes are the ones affected by the exchange rate.
Committee member Muhammad al-Shabaki said in an interview followed by / the information /, that "the dollar exchange rate is a political issue and has an international and regional dimension," indicating that "the exchange rate was subject to American pressure."
"The poor classes are the ones affected by the exchange rate," al-Shabaki added, pointing out that "the dollar is hidden and monopolized by the speculators."
A member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee expected, "the government will go to adjust the exchange rate," explaining that "the price of the dollar is linked to bridging the fiscal deficit in the budget and will not hinder its passage." End / 25
