, MP Hassan Salem confirmed, on Wednesday, that the most dangerous conspiracy that the country is exposed to, in addition to a series of other conspiracies, is the issue of borrowing from foreign banks, in particular borrowing from the International Monetary Fund, which arranges huge benefits on these loans and imposes unfair conditions to control the country's economy.
Salem said in a statement that Mawazine News received a copy of, that "external borrowing, especially from the International Monetary Fund, is an economic occupation of our country, which will be a hostage to those loans and is tied to billions of dollars."
He added, "Most of the countries that want to build their homelands make borrowing the last card because of the financial and economic damage that it entails, in which they conclude economic agreements at simplified costs. The best example of this is what we see today of countries such as Iran, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and other countries contracting with China for the growth of the economies of these countries and the achievement of Mega projects. "
And that "what we see in Iraq is a painful case of marginalization and neglect of the agreement with China and resorting to external borrowing for projects marred by corruption, as is the case in the electricity sector, which has gone billions of dollars into the pockets of the corrupt."
