A member of the Human Rights Commission, Faten Al-Halfi, called today, Sunday, to establish a national center to document the affairs of missing persons.
In a statement received by Alsumaria News, Al-Halfi said, “We have previously mentioned large numbers of missing persons, as a result of the conditions that they have gone through.” [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]And there is a need to establish a national center to document the affairs of the missing and prepare them.
The aim of this is to ensure the rights of the victims and provide reparation for their families, and as we have previously emphasized, "its purpose is to provide assistance to the families of the missing who have disappeared against their will, and to ascertain whether they are survivors among them, and it shall be under international and local supervision and with the assistance of the case authorities and the rest of the other competent authorities."
