The International Commission for Missing Persons is preparing, after the Eid Al-Fitr holiday, to create a unified national registry for the missing, confirming its support for efforts to compensate those affected by terrorism and military operations.
The deputy head of the Iraq mission in the committee, Fawaz Abdul Abbas, said, according to the official newspaper, that "the committee had granted the Martyrs Foundation and the Forensic Medicine Department a license to use the identification database system program as a prelude to establishing a unified national registry for the missing in the country as part of its efforts to support efforts to uncover the fate of The missing as a result of wars, terrorism and conflicts in the country.
